Program Overview

Thank you for your interest in Oasis Summer Day Camp. We understand selecting a summer camp for your child is a very important decision. We would like to make this exciting choice easier by providing you with as much information about our program as possible. Oasis has locations in Winnetka and Highland Park. We have campers ranging from 5 to 12-years old (junior counselors start at 13), and a range of activities that satisfy the most diverse interests. Oasis Summer Camp presents a tremendous opportunity for your child to widen horizons, form new friendships, take risks, and discover new strengths all under the supervision of professional educators. The true payoff of spending a summer with Oasis will be when your child comes home more self-reliant, self-sufficient, and bubbling over with self-confidence and happiness. Take comfort in knowing that enrolling in Oasis means your child is entering a safe place, with adults who are trained and skilled in child development. At Oasis, your child’s opportunities for excitement are endless. The creative camper will enjoy stimulating arts and crafts, group folly performances, and preparing costumes for weekly theme days. Adventure-seeking campers will get their fill at wild water parks, in terrific tournaments, and by participating in spectacular sports. Field trips, amazing special guests such as Mad Science's unique brand of engaging live programs, and Thursday catered cookouts will complete every camper’s ultimate summer experience. If that wasn’t enough, Oasis has created a one-of-a-kind supplemental learning feature that we're really excited about! "Reading is the single most important educational tool a learner can master due to its importance across school curriculum," says owner Brooke Schamber. She goes on to say, “Children learn to read through grade three, and then they read to learn for the rest of their lives.” For this reason we have incorporated an incentive-based reading program called The Tree Fort Challenge into Oasis to help our campers develop, strengthen, and enjoy this important skill!

Finally, we know summer months are busy from sun up to sun down and some days it’s impossible to hand off a lunch to a child charging out the door. Oasis has solved this inconvenience for you! By partnering with KIDDOS CATERING we are offering the option of individually catered lunches from popular local restaurants such as Subway, Little Louies, Once Upon A Bagel and more delivered fresh to your camper daily.
