Get to know director Jenny
Jenny is a practicing school psychologist working in a high school north of Chicago. She is excited to be spending her second summer at Oasis. In addition to her advanced training in child development in both undergraduate and graduate school she has a long record of experience working with children. As a teenager she worked in an early childhood education center. During college she worked as a counselor and later a supervisor at a local camp. It was then she realized her love of summer camp fun. She is looking forward to her second year at Oasis and can’t wait to bring her experience and energy to the 2012 season!

Get to know counselor Amy
Amy recently earned her Master of Elementary Education degree from DePaul University and is really looking forward to again working this summer as a counselor at Oasis. Growing up, Amy spent her summers lifeguarding, helping kids learn to swim, and loves being around water. She has also spent multiple summers as a counselor in her home state of Virginia, where she first discovered her love for working with children. Since being in Chicago, Amy has been spending her time volunteering and working with children in and out of the classroom. She is really excited to be back at Oasis, can't wait to see returning campers and get to know new ones!

Get to know counselor Peter
Peter graduated from New Trier High School and then went on to attend Depaul University where he majored in political science during his undergraduate studies. He is currently pursuing a masters degree in school and community counseling. He can be described as an active an energetic guy who loves to have fun outdoors. He regularly competes in running events and has completed 7 marathons! He can't wait for his first summer as part of the Oasis family to begin.

Get to know counselor Shannon
Shannon recently graduated, with a degree in psychology, from the University of Dayton in Ohio. She is beginning graduate school at National-Louis University for school psychology. Shannon looks forward to spending her second year at Oasis playing and bonding with campers. In her free time she enjoys playing basketball, participating in service opportunities, and being outdoors. Shannon is looking forward meeting the girls in her group and another fun-filled summer at Oasis!
