Answers To Important Oasis Summer Day Camp Questions

Thanks for your interest in Oasis Summer Day Camp.  Below are some commonly asked questions we have been asked over the years.  We hope you find them helpful as you plan your summer schedule.  Please let us know what other ones you have.

1. What are your tuition costs?
Currently, we are offering early bird rates through January.  The first camper's tuition is $365 a week (a $30/week savings).  Each additional camper is $335 a week (a $60/week savings).  Register for the entire 9 weeks and we'll reduce each week by another $30.  We have never increased our tuition rates and have actually found ways to reduce costs for families each and every year.

2. When is drop-off and pick-up?

Campers can be dropped-off between 8:00-9:00.  Campers can be picked up at the end of the day between 3:30-5:30.  These flexible, extended hours are a part of your tuition.  Your campus location is determined during registration.

3. Tell me about your schedule.

Our schedule is action-packed.  On Mondays and Wednesdays we visit beaches or water parks in the area.  On Fridays we are on an adventure trip/non-water trip.  Fridays are trips to museums, Cubs games, Great America, arcades, ice rinks, etc.  Finally, Tuesdays and Thursdays are spent at our Highland Park campus participating in Mad Science labs, cooking with Sticky Fingers Gourmet, performing with an improv class, or creating with Little Strokes of Genius.  We also dive into LEGO S.T.E.M. classes, sports, games, competitions or enjoy visiting with special performers.

4. Tell me more about your swim trips.
We've copied a link to a blog entry that does a nice job explaining our swim days.  Swim lessons are available and are a part of your tuition.  http://www.oasisdaycamp.com/blog/h2oasis-02222012

5. There is a lot going on at Oasis.  How do you communicate with parents?
Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter are all updated nearly every 30 minutes during camp hours.  Additionally, a daily email reminder informs parents about camp news, what to pack for tomorrow and what is on the schedule.  Some families need more so they text/email me for a more personal message which often includes a photo of their camper in action.

6. Are you at camp everyday?
Yes.  As the owners we are typically the first person you will see every morning.

7. How do you group campers?
We group campers according to age, gender and friendship request.  Your child's group does not prohibit him from interacting with anyone at Oasis.  One of the great features about our summer camp is the socializing everyone does with each other.  We often see the older groups enjoying their time with the younger campers, mentoring and participating in the same activities.

8. Do I need to pack a lunch everyday?
Yes or no.  We are no longer catering lunches on Thursdays however we have partnered with SMART LUNCHES so that you have the option of ordering a gourmet lunch that will arrive fresh and tasty each day.  Everyday it is important to bring a water bottle.  Drinking fountains, cold water and lemonade are available daily.
We can be contacted via email at info@oasisdaycamp.com or by phone at 847.858.0415.  We hope to see you this summer!
